Nivea’s interactive video lets you control a first date – and all that can possibly go wrong with it.     More and more brands are catching on to the fact that you can use channels such as YouTube and Vimeo as more than a platform for just showing your videos.   Old Spice let you control a one-man band in the form of Terry Crews in “Muscle Music” and there was of course Hunter and Bear who responded to actions you typed in “Tippexperience”.   Now meet Nivea’s Emily. She is on a first date with her dream guy. What could possibly go wrong? The user decides in this cross-platform, interactive YouTube video where you can click anything in the scene to cause a stressful situation.   “A Date to Remember” promotes Nivea’s Stress Protect range of anti-perspirant deodorants. The video, created by Agency Republic and Knucklehead begins with the restaurant waiter telling you not to click on anything, especially her dress.   They’ve thought of just about everything that can go wrong on a first date, from that awkward ex to the outfit debacle. One thing this does teach you – don’t eat noodles on a first date.
