Unocal “Patches” & “Hula” [00:20]# Blue title on black screen: “Quick. Name 965 good mechanics.” Rapid percussion track as cuts show Unocal pocket patches. “Walter.” “Lou.” “Rob” etc. etc. etc. The last one on which the cutting stops is “Murph.” Titles: “Now name the company that guarantees their work.” Unocal. In “Hula,” we see a plastic figurine of a hula girl anchored to the dashboard of a car and swaying to an Hawaiian track. Suddenly, the car starts to rock and wobble violently – the hula girl likewise. VO: “If your car doesn’t seem to know when to quit, try a tankful of Unocal 89. Two octane points higher than unleaded regular. It could make your car go.and stop better.”
