EB Beer “The Loafers” [01:10]
A humorous spoof on the widely acclaimed Guinness “Surfer” commercial (Video/DVD 1/99). Stylish images of good-looking surfers riding huge waves are replaced by an ordinary looking beach (probably somewhere on England’s Atlantic coastline) where skinny, turban-wearing and chubby blokes are having fun with their air mattresses, acting like children. The cost of the spot was definitely not too high – a fact further emphasised by the closing slogan: “We prefer to spend our money on brewing great beer.”
