Unocal “Morphy” [00:30]# This commercial for Union 76 gas makes good use of the “morphing” technique that is currently all the rage in commercials. In this spot , the faces of customers at 76 gas stations are electronically transformed into cars that, astoundingly, look just like them. A smiley traveling salesman type “morphs” into a vintage Buick. Then a provocative beauty turns into a red sports car. And, finally, an older businessman turns into a black Cadillac. “Because driving has its many faces,” Union 76 has developed three grades of gasoline. Claim over the round 76 logo that is transformed into the face of a gas station attendant: “Unocal. Where you find people who car about cars.”
