Contrex : “Les Fenetres” + “Le Bureau” [00:20]# Contrex mineral water is advertised with the claim that it is “my partner in staying slim.” In these spots drinkers of Contrex are contrasted with non-drinkers. In “Les Fenêtres,” we first of all see a clothes line on which some rather big knickers have been hung. A woman trilling an opera can be heard on the soundtrack. The size of these garments changes abruptly in the middle of the line. While we follow the sight of these much smaller garments lined up all the way to the other window, we hear a young woman singing the Contrex jingle (which some 30 years ago, and with a different set of lyrics, was once a hit for French singer Françoise Hardy). The second commercial resents a similar situation. A worker in an office is battling against the draft that has the paper on his desk flying about and is caused by people walking by. The only time this does not happen is when a slim young Contrex drinker passes.
