To The Last Tree Standing

Ogilvy & Mather, Warsaw

[2.18.002]

More Info

Collaboration between Greenpeace und Ogilvy to stop logging in Poland’s Bia?owie?a Forest, the last remaining lowland primeval forest in Europe. The woodlands covering an area of approx. 700 km2 were mapped, placed over a 3D model, and integrated into the Minecraft computer game, enabling both gamers and others to explore the forest online while also learning about its importance to the ecosystem.

Lulo Calio: “‘Wow! Wow! Wow!’ This was the way a famous local influencer reacted when he visited this great work from Greenpeace and Ogilvy, and I was no less amazed. An artistic development with attention to detail succeeds in leaving a deep message on an unusual but very powerful platform. This idea is included in my selection because it is quite an accomplishment to find the audience in an unguarded moment – and that is when the communication penetrates far deeper into the memory.”
