In response to the latest Burger King coffee campaign, McDonald’s is running its own coffee ad to show all the things – steaming cups held up to joyous faces, slow shots of Arabica beans, bearded artisans mixing trendy blends – it could put in its commercials to promote McCafé but doesn’t need to because the coffee promotes itself thanks to the great taste and quality. An ad poking fun at rival coffee ads is, as can be imagined, bound to be just a little over-the-top.
