A Day Without Whopper

David, Buenos Aires

[2.18.002]

More Info

Burger King deliberately stops selling the Whoppers for one day each year, sending people – to their amazement – across the street to buy from their great rival McDonald’s. All of this is done for a good cause (and, perhaps, to promote its own product through the back door …?).

Lulo Calio: “I have already mentioned the communication tone of Burger King. But in this they take it to the edge, creating a powerful and brilliant idea. Making customers not buy from you and encouraging them to go to the competitors is a pure dare. All for a good cause. Good for David and Burger King.”
