The star of the comic is Japanese midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura, who is feted like a hero in his home country. He encounters the three-legged crow – a mythical creature that gives the Japanese team shirts its feathery design – who orders the player to ensure that his team is among the last four at the World Cup.
