More Info

Everyone high on Afri-Cola. The Afri-Cola campaign from which this motif and the one on the following page were taken was created by self-styled “advertising artist” Charles Wilp in 1967. It probably stands alone in the history of german advertising in that it is immediately recalled by a large part of the population more than quarter century later, although the soft drink itself has become virtually invisible on the market. see a recent American campaign for this German product in our “Beverages: Non_Alcoholic” section with which the maker is apparently hoping to make a splash with the grunge generation.
