More Info

An experiment investigating what unites people and what appears to set them apart from each other. Diversity, thus the message, is important and we should therefore seek to accept people who are different to us rather than “putting them in boxes.”

Eva Santos: “Viral action by a television channel to strengthen the sense of unity among the Danes. A group of Danes (who are at first assigned to subgroups according to sociodemographic factors) are asked questions. If a statement applies to a person, they are asked to take a step forward, regardless of the reaction of the rest of the group. This makes it visually
clear that initially separated groups are becoming increasingly mixed, and the distinctions that initially separated them gradually disappear. One of the best castings that I’ve ever seen.”
