Altoids “People Of Pain” + “Mother
Tongue” (00:30) #
In the style of old-fashioned nature
documentaries, Altoids presents the
expeditions of an intrepid anthropologist
in “Altoidia.” In Part 1, the scientist
documents the way of life in the far-off
“land of pain,” whose indigenous folk,
hardened by Altoids “Sour Gums,” seem
to have developed complete resistance
to a sickle mistakenly knocked into the
side of their head. In Part 2, viewers find
out about the language of the tribe,
which has been adapted to the sucking
sounds made when chewing on an Altoids.
Yet one is advised not to try this
at home, as unpractised tongues may
produce an entirely wrong kind of sucking
sound, which could result in a nasty
misunderstanding.
