Amnesty International: “Poupées Russes” [00:50]# Matryoshkas (those wooden nesting dolls from Russia that can be opened up to reveal further dolls inside) are shown here as a metaphor for human rights abuses in Russia. A little doll with a sad face is lying in a pool of blood. A hand wipes off the doll and puts it inside another doll that is handcuffed. This, in turn, is put inside a doll that looks like a reporter, etc. Super: “We must not let Russia’s charm hide its atrocities. Amnesty International.”
