‘I Made a Mixtape for You’: Shot on an iPhone 16 Pro, Apple’s 8th consecutive film for Chinese New Year explores the tensions of dating culture across the generations. After discovering his parents’ 90s mixtape our male protagonist goes back in time to that era, and meets a girl in a night club. Choreographed (by Hollywood choreographer Ashley Wallen) dance routines to Mando-pop hits and meeting of families ensues and we see that however the world changes, love prevails.
‘The Greatest Showman’ director Michael Gracey worked with cinematographer Erik Messerschmidt and Shanghai screenwriter Wu Jue Ren.
