Apple iPhone “Hello” (00:30) #
Apple unveiled the new spot for its mobile phone, which does not launch until
the summer, to high-profile media ex-
posure, the commercial having aired for
the first time during a commercial break
at this year’s Oscar awards. Viewers are
shown some 30 clips from feature films of
both yesterday and today, in which a variety of stars answer the phone by saying
“Hello.” Flashing by in a matter of seconds are the likes of Humphrey Bogart
and Marlon Brando, Michael J. Fox, or John
Cusack, and on through to comic star Mr.
Incredible, all of them clutching a phone
in their hand. The spot closes on a shot of
the touchscreen of the iPhone highlighted
as the technology of today.
