Pastas La Familia/Ardilla “Duel” [00:50]# The probably rather difficult task of advertising two basically competing brands of pasta by the same manufacturer is solved in this campaign by presenting them through a mother-and-daughter team, played by Chus Lampreave and Rossy de Palma, two Spanish actresses who have become hugely popular as a result of their roles in the films of Pedro Almodovar. Each of them has her own favorite brand and they never tire of plugging it to the viewer over the protest of the other. A bizzarely comic spaghetti duel by the two doesn’t do much to establish on brand’s superiority over the other either.
