“If there were something to make life better?” ponders the caption at the end of this surrealistic vision of the mundane world. The musical backdrop to the spot is unmelodic and almost depressing. The images are of machines in various stages of neglect, all filmed in a manner designed to accentuate the lack of joy created by their everyday use. Each of the machines in some way resembles an automobile component. The answer to the questioning tagline is the white-on-black graphic “Audi A4.”
