Smelling of fish under one’s armpits is obviously
not an advantage when, like the
young village hero in this commercial for
Axe, one is seeking to woo an attractive
young lady. On returning from the latest
fishing expedition, the young man is welcomed
like a hero by children and the
entire village. Once he has achieved fame
as the man with the two fish wriggling
under his armpits, a statue is erected in
his honour, an event that also pulls in the
TV crews. At the ceremony, however,
some Axe Deo is sprayed under his armpits.
He loses the fish, and the fans desert
him too, but the village beauty is soon
able to make him forget the loss.
