In this black-and-white commercial for the
BBC, the clock is turned back to Britain
during the age of Edward VII – with just a
few small differences being made. Between the horse-drawn carriages, a van
suddenly pops up as a pizza delivery service is to be seen snaking its way through
the traffic. A stage-diver jumps down into
a crowd full of folks wearing hats and
long dresses. Pay-off: “Discover how the
Edwardians weren’t so very different to
us.”
