“Foggy Bummer,” “Tartan Toyboys,” “Nae Hope” + “Graffiti” [01:00]# The principal idea behind this campaign for Radio Scotland with the common motif of “Rediscover the power of the spoken word” is to communicate the expressive qualities of sound in a visual medium. The creative team listened to hundreds of hours of broadcost output looking for clips. These clips play to abstract visual images on the screen as well as the actual words we hear in a variety of typographical representations. “Foggy Bummer” is about a rarely heard rural Scots dialect called “the Doric”. “Graffiti”, which eports on the death toll among L:A: street gangs, reflects tha station´s international outlook. “Nae Hope” reflects the bleak life of a young heroin addict, while “Tartan Tayboys” questions conventional sexual mother fantasizes to her daughter about watching male strippers.
