The Berlitz spots are graphics-style collages
which, in time to the background
music, replace the real meaning of a
song’s lyrics with similar-sounding words,
jumbling the contents in a way designed
to show how important it can be to learn
a language properly. A line for the Blondie
hit, “The tide is high … I’m gonna be your
number one,” for example, is garbled into
“I’m gonna be your mama Wong.” Pay-off:
“Every song tells a story. Better you get it.
