Boddingtons “Athlete” [00:40]# In this spoof of the famous Pirelli commercial starring Carl Lewis, a black athlete jogs through the heat of a dry desert. His eye catches sight of a car passing through the wasteland at high speed. He starts sprinting and it looks like he wants to outrun the car. When the driver notices her pursuer in the rear mirror, she hits the brake of what looks like an ice-cream truck. After all, the runner attains his goal of catching a cool “creamy” Boddingtons – even with a waffle if he likes. Pay-off: “Boddingtons. The Cream of Manchester.”
