Carambar

TBWA, Paris

[1.06.125]

More Info

Carambar Candy comes in a wrapper with a joke printed on the inside. So instead of focusing on the qualities of the sweet, this commercial highlights the quality of the jokes, which, judging from the example given here (“Why did the chicken cross the road?” – No, not to meet Gregory Peck, but: “To get to the other side.”), tend towards the post-modern deadpan type of humor. Which, however, appears to be an endless source of amusement to members of the animal kingdom – if, that is, we take the cacklin mirth displayed by a group of hyena in some African steppe as any indication.
