Channel 4 – Sight Loss Spots
As part of National Eye Health Week, an event staged from September 18-24, 2017 in the UK, Channel 4 aired ads of a rather different kind by partnering with brands to address the issue of glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, etc. Existing commercials such as those for Paco Rabanne and Specsavers were shown in either blurred form or with a narrower field of vision – just the way they would be seen by people with impaired vision.
