Chiquita Bananas “Birth”, “Support” + “Harvest” [00:20]#
Eerily beautiful images of a Chiquita banana plantation. In the first spot we witness the “birth” of a bunch of bananas, in the second we are told that “nature does all the work,” and that the people at Chiquita just know when to lend a little support. The third spot, finally, shows the harvesting of the bananas. The cushion the harvester wears on his shoulder, we are told, isn’t there “because the bananas are too heavy.” He wears it “because his shoulder is too hard.” Claim: Chiquita Bananas. Possibly nature’s perfect food.
