Coca-Cola “What Goes Around Comes
Around” (01:40) #
The interplay of a song by Jack White of
The White Stripes and lavish effects in this
spot for Coca-Cola was created by Japanese
artist and director Nagi Noda, who
has produced similar promos for Japanese
pop singer Yuki. A redheaded girl takes a
sip of Coca-Cola, moving forward in static
poses, each of which is frozen. Going
down the steps, out into the garden, she
meets other people who, in turn, are standing
next to each other, caught up in sequential
static poses. This colourful image
– in the Coca-Cola colours – is broken up
when, finally, each individual “position”
begins to move freely and ends on the insertion
of the Coca-Cola bottle complete
with the tagline “The Coke side of life.”
