Co-op Supermarkets “Apples”, “Gallery” & “Party” [01:00]# Woody Allen’s big-city neurotics transposed to Italian soil to advertise the Co-op chain of supermaket. In “Apples,” a man is talking to a psychiatrist about his obsession with apples. A flashback explains it all for us, and we learn that paples like this till exist. At the Co-op. In “Gallery,” a group of art connoisseurs discuss the exhibits on view p all made from meat. Which somehow leads the VO to tell us that Co-op now also offer fresh meat in their supermarkets. In “Party,” a group of party gossipers swap bitchy witticisms about this woman’s false nose, this man’s toupee, another woman’s silicon bosom, etc. Nothing is real at this gathering. Even the food is artificial. We then learn that products with the Co-op brand are controlled without colorants, without unnecessary additives. “Co-op. It’s you.”
