Corporate Council for the Arts “Beetle” + “Kiss” [00:30]# Two remarkable commercials for the Corporate Council for the Arts that are seeking financial backers for the Arts Fund developed by them. The theme of the campaign is how art touches our individual lives. In “Beetle,” a preoccupied businessman hurrying down a crowded street is stopped in his tracks and transported form his worries when strains of chamber music waft down from the open window of a building. “Kiss” shows a man giving a woman a single, beautiful blue lily, and then shows in a kind of rewind how the idea for the gift came into the man’s head: in front of a Van Gogh painting of the same blue lilies.
