More Info

To mark its 50th birthday, Edding has installed an interactive drawing slate on its website, inviting visitors to scribble on it live using a variety of Edding pens. Every illustration is digitally immortalized on the big Wall of Fame.
James Hilton: “‘Choose a pen to draw on our wall.’ I’ve got to admit I was pretty dubious about this. Mainly because I’m a jaded cynic who’s seen more ‘digital campaigns’ than he cares to remember. Maybe it’s because I’ve seen this idea tried before and been decidedly underwhelmed. And as the loader (how I hate loaders) crawled to 100%, my eyes began to roll and my muttering began in earnest. But when it did load, eventually, I sat there in surprised admiration. For there before me was indeed the most elaborate
piece of collaborative art the world has seen (probably). In the first month, 40,000 drawings from people in over 100 different countries were added to the wall, and it grows every day. Edding; I salute you.”
