First Direct Bank “Pink Man” & “Blue Man” [00:45]# An unusual campaign for First Direct bank. At the beginning, Charlotte Rampling appears and informs us that First Direct is a new kind of bank which doesn’t have any branches. What is our reaction to this? If we have an optimistic view we are asked to stay tuned to this channel, for a pessimistic view we are to switch to another. The optimistic view is illustrated by the musical sequence that follows: in a Broadway-type number a man in a white suit sings of all the advantages the new bank’s way of doing business has to offer. Meanwhile, on the other cannel, viewers who have chosen the pessimistic view see a man in black singing a blues about the possible pitfalls of this new approach Ends, First Direct’s phone number and title: Thank you for watching.
