The German term “innerer Schweinehund” – “inner pigdog” – is used to describe an unwillingness to push oneself to the
limit – in sport or in other situations where one needs to perform at one’s best. Gatorade, the campaign suggests, can help
people to overcome this “weaker self” and achieve the goals they have set themselves.
