In its recently launched “St. Patrick’s Day
Season” campaign, Guinness presents its
master brewers using an animated collage
technique. The two gents in question
are a little surprised to find themselves
sporting the gear normally worn
by tap-dancing Irish reelers. Yet St.
Patrick’s Day cannot be allowed to pass
without a knees-up, and soon the two
elderly men are dancing merrily to the
strains of Irish music played on a gramophone.
Yet the floor is not the newest
either, and they end up crashing through
the boards down into the cellar. Having
landed on their feet, they are ready to
raise their glasses to the tradition. All
that one needs, so runs the pay-off of
the Irish brewer, is Guinness – and the
two gents find this “brilliant.”
