MVO at the beginning of this spot: “This
is what a Honda feels like.” What follows
are various images from a ride
(tyres on the asphalt, raindrops running
horizontally along the car’s windows,
windshield wipers, views of the road
ahead, etc.) intercut with those of a
choir providing all the sounds effects
throughout the commercial – from the
engine being revved up to tyres screeching,
the sound of a car driving over
speed bumps, with a Doppler effect
throughout. Generic as this spot may, in
a way, be – the sounds of a car are the
sounds of a car are the sounds of a car
– it’s nevertheless an impressive achievement.
