A gloomy apartment and a listless man
about to plod off to work. Just before he
leaves, his eye is caught once again by his
run-down bathroom. The underlying mood
is brought out by melancholy strings that
accompany him right through to the end of
the spot. Yet the man is unaware of the fact
that he is being pursued by the old bathroom
as he heads off to work. Be it out in
the street or on the train, the bathroom
remains on his heels, taking on ever new
guises as it does so. Finally, however, the
man gets to grips with his “stalker,” actively
taking steps to defend himself. The next
moment, we find ourselves standing in a
redecorated bathroom. “Finish it before it
finishes you” is the payoff of this new spot
for DIY chain Hornbach.
