The world belongs to the risk takers among us and, especially in business, if you want to stay on top you have to adapt and go with the flow. So that’s what Honduras Maya Hotel did. After realizing that Airbnb was taking over the market, they literally turned their hotel into an Airbnb – a Hotelbnb, to be precise. They renovated and turned every hotel employee into a host, putting their rooms up for rent on the website. Millennials might have been kind of surprised upon arrival, but in a positive way, once they started enjoying all the extras a hotel has to offer in comparison to a simple Airbnb.

Hotel Honduras Maya understood their target perfectly, and replicated the experience of staying in an Airbnb but with the same amenities that a hotel has. If you build it pretty, hipsters will come.”
