The Skin of Color Society aims to drive greater diversity and inclusion in dermatology.
One of their aims is to expand the way demographic descriptors are written in order to create a greater diversity of people in clinical trials, as well as helping expand treatments for different demographics.
To launch this initiative we needed to show how each individual is more than one label. ‘I am not just Black’, explores the intricate nature of people, how their backgrounds & experiences amount to so much more than one singular word or descriptor. And how expanding the way we look at demographic descriptors can open up a more inclusive future for dermatology.
