Children, students, creatives and artists were challenged to draw the impossible: the internet. In just a single picture. What they came up with can be viewed at www.canyoudrawtheinternet.com or bought through ArtWeLove.com. Proceeds go towards helping art teaching at public schools in New York.
James Hilton: “Who’s best at drawing the undrawable? Kids or creatives? ‘What’s the difference?’ some would say. Pablo Picasso once said, ‘All children are born artists, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up.’ Pablo would’ve loved this project.
Not least because it’s proven his point: the drawings from the kids are free-thinking, full of insight, and inspiring. The majority of the ‘creatives’ work, whilst well executed, lacks the vision and unhindered expression of their smaller competitors. A great experiment and a full vindication to keep behaving like a child.”
