Intersport/Nike “Derrick: Dicke Bäuche lügen nicht” [00:20]# A spot for the Intersport chain of shops, which are an outlet for Nike sporting gear. In the manner of Carl Reiner’s “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid,” scenes from old films are intercut with new footage to provide the illusion of an out-of-time plug for the sports stores. The footage pilfered in is case is the “Derrick” cop serial, whose success – it ran for more than 20 years and was sold to many unsuspecting countries – one of the great unexplained phenomena of German TV.
