Levi´s 501 “Pick-Up” [01:00]# “Be My Baby”, the early 60s hit, provides the musical background. A pretty brunette watches as her nerdy boyfriend tires to fix their overheated car by the side of a rural highway. Enter the hero, a resourceful guy who peels off his Levi’s and uses them as a hitch to tow the car. Naturally, the girl must ride with him in the truck while her boyfriend unhappily steers the car at the other end of the sturdy jeans. The hero shifts gears abruptly and conveniently disconnects his bumper, leaving the loser behind, arms waving. “Levi’s 501. Separates the men from the boys.”
