“Four Rings” + “Swift Deeds” [01:00]# A radically new departure for Lloyds Bank with this series of commercials titled, “Tales of the Black Horse.” Each of the spots presents a humorous tale set in a mythical medieval land of folklore and fables linked to various services offered by Lloyds Bank. The first tells the tale of two princesses and reveals the mystery of the Four Tings – which is Lloyds Bank’s pledge to customers that all their calls will be answered within four rings. The second commercial introduces a brave knight who is being remorselessly pestered by a vicious troll, hell bent on sabotaging the knight’s chances of setting up a new home. Lloyds Bank comes to the rescue by fighting off the troll and swiftly organizing a mortgage for a modest castle.
