An explosion of colour combined with sugary
delights are the mark of this commercial
for the Meltz fashion line. We see a
young woman sucking a huge, brightly
coloured gobstopper and, by means of
match cut, are subsequently shown her in
a host of different outfits in differently
designed interiors. She is first seen enjoying
a black gobstopper, sporting a
black outfit and tripping around a room
featuring skull-and-crossbones wallpaper.
In the next, she is sitting, dressed in red,
on a red couch and, finally, in a kitschy
pink affair with pink wig and Hello Kitty
doll. Payoff: “Meltz. Jolly couture. Jolly
prices.”
