In exchange he receives some news, mostly scandals that rocked Spain as far back as the 70’s and early 80’s (e.g. a company’s spectacular collapse that brought about the demise of a minister now married to Julio Iglesias’ ex-wife, the “Chinese” the shepherd refers to, etc.) When the shepherd finally asks what Franco thinks of all this, we realize that he must be living on the dark side of the moon.
