Energy Policy and Planning Office “Lost
Money” + “Madam” (00:45) #
Two spots for Thailand’s Ministry of
Energy in which the population is urged
to stop wasting energy resources. In the
first, Mr. Energy, whose job is to show
Thais how to use resources more economically,
meets a pickup driver who
puts his foot down so firmly that clouds
of soot rise up into the air. Retribution
follows swiftly. On his second assignment,
Mr. Energy persuades a rich woman,
who is apparently driving around
with all of her most valuable possessions
in the boot of her car, to unload
some of them. The car moves up ten
centimetres as a result. Mr. Energy completes
each of his missions by saluting
in the manner of propaganda posters.
