Nike “Just Do It: Helden”#
A reinterpretation of the 1977 song “Heroes”, by David Bowie. In it, we see diverse athletes, among them Léon Schäfer, a Paralympics athlete champion, hijab boxer Zeina Nassar, and footballer Leroy Sané, along with their inspiring backstories. The message is that they are all heroes because they do what they want to do, against all resistance and doubt. One of Nike’s goals with the campaign is quite obviously to reinterpret the common notion of hero. Above all, however, the aim is to give young people more space in their lives for sporting activities.
