More Info

The Norwegian lotto’s advertising strapline – “Lotto millionaires are not like ordinary millionaires” – is given a new twist in this successful addition to the series. The setting is an old people’s home in which an overbearing, censorious and patronizing nurse makes life miserable for its elderly residents. One of them, a frail old lady in a wheelchair, one day discovers that she’s won the lotto. She uses the opportunity of an unguarded moment to exchange her winning lottery ticket with that of the nurse. In the next scene, we see the old people again, this time being watched over by a much more sympathetic carer. Nurse Gudrun, we learn, has quit.
