A different way to participate in a petition – not with a signature but with a selfie – was introduced by VML, pictures having subsequently been turned into 3D images unveiled at UN Headquarters on World Humanitarian Day, August 17. The campaign was designed to tell stories of people in war and conflict zones – and to simultaneously educate and engage people to push for change.
