Watson. Personalized brand offerings from fields such as hospitality,
fuel, and shopping are – according to location, passengers, weather,
etc. – displayed on the digital dash.
Eugen Suman: “Very smart marketing from GM. Let’s just hope that
cars which have this system installed also come with a price deduction
for their owners, otherwise who’s going to want it? I can imagine a future
where most of the stuff we use is subsidized by the corporations that sell
them, and the only ads you see are the ones you like most because the
algorithms behind them know you so well. Right now, we’re far from there.”
