Making brilliant use of “deep fake technology” – these Covid-19 films “resurrect” national Peruvian celebrities who are no longer with us. There’s national hero Admiral Grau, who lived long before the era of motion pictures. The other two films feature legendary singer Chabuca Granda back from the 1970s and, respectively, a popular Peruvian sports announcer. Their message: “To beat the virus, we have to stand together.”
