Since words fail him he takes out a pair of scissors, cuts off a lock of his hair, and glues it onto the writing paper. He signs with a flourish and stuffs the letter into the envelope. Pay-off: Write more often. The Norwegian Post. In the second spot, we see the girl he’s addressed the letter to. Tenderly, she strokes the lock of hair, then opens a drawer where she keeps her mail. We see that it is filled with similar letters (all from the same young man), all bearing locks of hair. A photo of the young man on her night table shows that his coiffure has survived this strange correspondencemn unscathed.
