Pride Flag

FCB, Toronto

[2.18.002]

More Info

The rainbow Pride flag is transformed into a sliding scale used to rate the LGBT-friendliness of different cities and countries, the six colors representing metrics such as civil rights, anti-discrimination laws, marriage equality, etc. Pay-off: The data behind the destinations.

Lulo Calio: “A flag is created to represent a territory, a philosophy or a community, is the identity of a group of people. Now, when this symbol has the power to inform, protect and warn about dangers to the group to which this flag belongs, it turns into a powerful tool. I wish the idea chosen for this section will not be necessary in the future but, as creators of this work remark, ‘For now it is the reality’.”
